Set in one of London's historic 'wet fish' shops in West Hampstead, the original Art Deco wall tiles and eclectic interior create a warm, neighbourly atmosphere. It is a hit with artsy West Hampstead locals who enjoy good jazz, cocktails and the Wet Fish Cafe's own brand of "modern comfort food". The seasonally changing menu is short and satisfying: it includes fish, meat and veggie dishes. Classics include the crispy squid with aioli, pollock with smoked lentils, chorizo oil and green beans, and rhubarb, ginger and almond crumble. The Early Bird menus are terrific value. Either pop in for pasta, fish or tapas between 4pm and 6pm with some truly enticing offers, or order by 7pm and return your table by 8pm for an irresistible deal on the prix fixe menu. And Early Bird offers are available all evening every Monday evening.
