Brindisa, whose flagship Borough Market restaurant is a go-to for quality Spanish food, brings some of that authentic charm to their Shoreditch restaurant, relaunched in 2016 as Tapas Brindisa Shoreditch . Founder and owner Monika Linton spent her early years on Spain's Eastern coast and, together with g roup executive chef Josep Carbonell and head chef Leonardo Rivera, who are both Catalans, they have created a menu rooted in the coastal villages and rural areas of these regions. Traditional rice dishes and costal tapas classics with seafood are menu staples while the restaurant's hero dish is paella marinera - prawn, cuttlefish and mussel bomba rice. Tapas, picoteos and platters of charcuterie, cheese and cured fish are served throughout the day while a large communal table gives the place a cafe feel, welcoming you in for coffee, quick lunch or a work-space if you're one of the increasing band of freelancers.
