The team at the Tsuru restaurant in London's Bishopsgate are fanatical about food, and that's just what makes their Japanese eatery stand out in the local market. Formed by three friends; Kensuke, Emma and Jon, Tsuru is on the fringes of the City, offering a bright, vibrant setting for anything from business dinners to a quick bite with friends accompanied by an Asahi beer or boutique sourced sake. Many of the recipes chef Kensuke works from in the Tsuru kitchen have been passed down from his own mother and grandmother, while all the produce he uses are sourced from top suppliers with a focus on quality and sustainability alike - free range chicken, sustainable line caught fish, even packaging is recyclable. Menu options include not only the freshest hand rolled sushi but traditional Japanese curries and ippin ryouri, Japan's answer to tapas. With a covered outdoor seating area and a location equally convenient for the business-minded City and arty Shoreditch.
