Taking inspiration from Japanese ramman-noodle bars, Wagamama is the ultimate in high-quality, fast food. Huge bowls of steaming, soupy noodles, chicken dumplings with a chilli-soy dipping sauce, grilled prawns in a red-pepper sauce - food doesn't get much better than this: full flavoured, well balanced and, above all, healthy.
The ethos behind Wagamama is simple food, simply cooked and quickly served. Some might find it hard getting used to the informality of the serving system - it's common for food to arrive at different times - but the friendly staff encourage you not to stand on ceremony and slurp those noodles up as soon as they come.
This reviewer's particular favourite Wagamama meal is Chilli-Beef Raman accompanied by the Chicken Gyoza. But if that doesn't float your taste buds' boat I'm sure something on the vast and eclectic menu will. Here at LondonTown.com we feel it important to mention the wonderful juices, freshly made at the restaurant. When my colleague and I returned to the office after a couple of these concotions, we survived the rest of our hectic LondonTown.com day without coffee, feeling almost as good as we looked.
So, if you're after lunch, dinner or supper, head to Wagamama's for a noodle-slurping, rice chomping food fest that will hurt neither your wallet nor your waistline.
