Adidas's flagship Originals store is just a few seconds stroll from the Seven Dials in Covent Garden(and just around the corner from LondonTown.com towers!) Gleaming and white, with trainers and clothes occasionally mounted on pedestals, and prices that will make your eyes water, it's more of a place of worship than a shop.
3-stripe Adidas gear is of course the epitome of old skool Hip Hop cool, and this shop carries all the trendiest lines including Missy Elliott's 'remixed' trainer collection featuring liquid gold heels, massive lettering and all the bling you can imagine having on your feet.
It's a beautiful shop with the usual super-cool staff talking about their breakdancing ambitions, and we thought it would be easy to have a look round, then wait for the knock-offs to hit the market. But in the end the ranks of beautiful shoes and the lovely crisp smell overpowered us, and we left nearly £100 poorer, but with shoes fit for a king. A fairly typical experience at this over-priced but hugely enticing flagship store.
Office is the place to go for the season’s must-have shoe that won’t break the bank. It’s very fashionable and the sharpest shapes sell-out fast.
