Trading for over one hundred years, Arthur Beale is a long-standing specialist shop in London but it's also something of an anomaly: the last place you'd expect to find a yachting shop selling everything the boat enthusiast needs is in the middle of the city, miles from the sea. But that's exactly what you get here. Even if you're not a sailor and you don't own a boat this shop is worth visiting for its fascinating collection of boat hooks, buoys, ropes and things you never knew a sailor needed. If you are fortunate enough to possess a floating fibreglass beauty, moored in the marina, this is the place to come for expert advice on everthing from the redesign of your bathrooms to replenishing your rigging - which is manufactured on the premises in a small workshop in the basement.
