Personalised chocolates, created by a team led by Xavier Parcerisa, formerly Head Pastry Chef at The Goring, nuts and quality coffee are the little luxuries on display at Choconut on Great Portland Street. Enticing shoppers in with a dual chocolate fountain in the window, this family run business specialises in delectable bonbons, bars, truffles and bespoke, handmade chocolate, ready to go in 15 minutes. Select your chosen chocolate and ingredients, head to the counter and watch the master chocolatiers at work. Coffee comes in limited edition single origins using beans from all over the globe. Hot chocolate, loose leaf teas - from orange to cinnamon rose - and French iced coffee are also available to drink-in (there are bar stools at high tables) or take away. While the walls are lined with chocolate products, nuts of all shapes, sizes and flavours - honey roasted and caramelised cashews, wasabi-coated peanuts, roasted pecans and walnuts, raw almond kernels and brazil nuts - are beautifully displayed in handmade curvaceous containers in the centre of the shop.
