Luxury British footwear brand Cleo B gets its name from founder Cleo Barbour who, identifying a need for original, wearable yet feminine shoes, decided to create her own brand of footwear. The debut collection launched in London's Dover Street Market in 2008 and this boutique in Ebury Street, Belgravia, opened in March 2010. Brought up in Cheshire countryside and trained at the Cordwainers College in East London, Cleo's designs draw inspiration from Art Deco, architecture, the natural world, and global travel. After four years of training, she completed a degree in Footwear Design and went on to train at the Salvatore Ferragamo design studio in Florence. The shoes - typically glamourous and curvaceous - are produced in south-east Spain, an area famous for its footwear manufacture. And the boutique feels more like a room in a home than a shop, adorned with antique furniture and Cleo's collection of vintage posters and heirlooms.
