Hand carved wood soldiers and antiques are sold from the Colonial Soldier in the Admiral Vernon Antiques Market every weekend. Just off the Portobello Road Market, the indoor antiques market is home to 200 stalls including the Colonial Soldier who specialise in hand carved figures which extend from uniformed soldiers to leprechauns and santa clauses. Other curiosities include British emblems such as vintage bus signs, routemaster buses and red telephone boxes. An unusual selection of antiques range from deer antlers and antelope horns to African masks and English sporting items - golf clubs, cricket bats and the like.Colonial Soldier images
