Visitor Information
Three years after opening their first outlet and gallery in Shoreditch, Concrete Hermit are setting up shop in central London with a new Carnaby Street store in Kingly Court. If you're looking for some post-neo-old-skool artwork Concrete Hermit is the place to come. If you're not sure what that means (neither were we) you'll find Concrete Hermit is the epitome of East End street cool, presenting graphically designed products including books, prints, T-shirts and badges. Since it was established in 2004 the flagship gallery has been working with selected artists including Al Murphy whose clients include Paramount Comedy, Parlophone Records, Mercury Records, Universal Records and Boxfresh. Jon Burgerman, another artist they work with and who regularly exhibits here, is known for his unique and colourful pieces displayed on bags, books, belts, snowboards, skateboards, surfboards and ice-cream vans. Founder Chris Knight's artistic policy is quite simple: "I'm not bothered if you're a student or a superstar, good stuff is just good stuff."
