Eco makes shopping for the environmentally conscious easy. The energy efficient store in Chiswick is part owned by actor Colin Firth, aka Mr Darcy, who is also an Oxfam Ambassador on Trade and co-founder of Progreso, the fair-trade coffee chain - and you thought he just looked good in a wet shirt. At Eco you can get produce for the home, from natural paints to designer chairs, without comprising on the environment. As well as being a store and showroom, you can also use their interior design or consultancy services to get green ideas for the home, office or school. Advice ranges from energy efficient light bulbs and eco-friendly furnishings to money saving heating solutions.
