Elevator Gallery is a contemporary artist-run space in Hackney Wick, London and is housed in the attic of a former chocolate factory, above Mother Studios. Curators Cherie-Marie Veiderveld and Simon Reuben White are committed to developing a lively programme of exhibitions and regular performance evenings, talks and workshops. With this area in flux largely due to the development of the Olympic site the Elevator Gallery is one of a number of artistic happenings taking advantage of the cheaper rents and the uncertainty of neighbouring a 24 hour building site.
