Few and Far

A knack for knowing what people want - and retailing it in an appealing way - is clearly in the Conran blood. Priscilla Carluccio - wife of restaurateur Antonio and younger sister of Terence Conran - is finally, at the age of 70, doing something that's entirely hers. Having started out working with her brother at The Conran Shop and Habitat, she's now set up her own interiors shop, just down the road from Brompton Cross where The Conran Shop still resides. But unlike her brother's signature home store, Few and Far is filled with quirky items and one-off pieces alongside a small collection of ethnic clothes and crafted children's toys. Mrs Carluccio's expertise goes beyond an eye for interiors. She's also the brains behind the numerous Carluccio's caffes you see on most London high streets. On Fridays, food and interiors are combined at Few and Far - four varieties of fresh chocolate cake are sure to entice the shoppers in this corner of Knightsbridge.
