From the team that bought you Bocca Di Lupo comes Gelupo, a traditional Italian gelateria, delicatessen and espresso bar in the heart of Soho. Gelupo is located on the same cobbled back street as the popular trattoria and owner Jacob Kenedy has pulled out all the stops for this indulgent scoop of all things Italian. As well as typical ice cream and sorbet flavours, there's a raft of ingenious and unusual flavours such as ricotta and coffee or rice grains with cinnamon. Heston Blumenthal - eat your heart out! Home-baked brioche bun 'gelato burgers' are on the menu, for those who fancy a new take on the old classic ice cream sandwich, as well as freshly fried cannoli. Around the back, the deli part of Gelupo stocks your Italian staples such as pasta, sauces, sliced meats and sausages, while the bar serves fine Italian coffee, occasionally with a fancy twist (espresso with beaten egg yolks and hazelnut, anyone?). Snacks are available to eat in or take out at lunch time and in the evening. For Soho's late night weekend clientele, Gelupo is open until 1am from Thursday to Saturday.Gelupo images
