At 45,000 square foot, Italian market Mercato Metropolitano has no shortage of artisanal talent. Housed in a disused paper factory, it brings together bakers, fishmongers, charcuterie specialists, coffee roasters, brewers, pizza chefs and more to showcase their wares, serving up dishes from individual stalls. Diners can gather together on large communal tables to feast on authentic dishes while live musical performances, educational activities, an in-house cinema and cultural exhibitions add to the draw. There's also a 4,000 square foot Italian supermarket, a barber shop, a boxing gym and a co-working space.
