Don't go here expecting art from a person called Nelly Duff because you won't find her! Obviously Nelly Duff is cockney rhyming slang for life (it's tenuous, believe me) but the kids down at this uber cool gallery have imagined her into a tattooed, arm-wrestling, pin-up girl! On that note, let's turn to her namesake. Nelly Duff isn't the type of place that's hushed and polished - you're invited to show up at the "dusty old gallery" co-owned by Cassius Colman with a hangover on a Sunday and then pick up a bagel and a bunch of daffs while wandering down the Columbia Road. All very bohemian, as is the art. A screen print of Mickey Mouse with the face of Lenin, monsters depicted in "chemical landscapes" and some stuff that just looks like graffiti, which possibly is the point. You might not like the art or even get it but that's half the fun - it's out-there, in-your-face and off-the-wall and browsing round flower stalls and art shops in Columbia Road is simply a must-do London thing on a Sunday morning.Opening and closing times for Nelly Duff
