This southern Mediterranean deli has offers chic all-white decor, and an exotic cuisine, that mixes a dash of Italy and a spot of North Africa with a selection of Greek, Turkish and Middle Eastern dishes. Takeaway options include salads, dips and superb patisserie. Dreamt up by Yotam Ottolenghi who came from Israel with no experience in the industry. His training began at the pastry department at The Capital, then under Rowley Leigh and next at Baker and Spice in Chelsea. Four years on, he teamed with Noam Bar, Sami Tamimi and Jim Webb to set up Ottolenghi in 2002. A column in the Saturday 'Guardian', a cookbook and classes at Leiths are all signs of their success. Renowned for its excellent breakfasts - voted "the finest in town" by The Observer Food Monthly.
