Grocers by Royal Appointment to the Queen since 1994, Patridges is an institution in this part of Chelsea. Opened by Richard Shepherd in May 1972 at 132 Sloane Street, it moved to this Duke of York location just off the King's Road in 2004. Among the luxury produce are fine wines from Bordeaux, extra virgin olive oils from Marqués de Valdueza in Spain and smoked salmon from Scotland. Hard to find delicacies like goats' butter, blueberry muffin mix and specialist teas are among the tempting goods. This Sloane Square store also has a wine bar and café. The outdoor Saturday food market, from 10am to 4pm, directly outside the shop is worth a visit if you're in this part of town.
