Jamie Oliver's bid to single handedly take over the culinary landscape of the UK (...then the world!) continues apace with Recipease, a food store where you do the cooking. Generally, we'd prefer the cooking to be done for us, but Jamie has kindly laid on some professional chefs to show us how its done. Well, if he can make a career out of rebranding a bunch of unqualified teenagers and turning them into high class chefs, there's hope for us all. Recipease (see what they did there? It's all easy peasy, mate) gets you to create staunch staples including cottage pie and roast vegetable macaroni cheese. But, unlike cooking at home, you've got the reassurance of an expert to give you guidance. As you'd expect, the meals you make are cheaper than in a Jamie Oliver restaurant too, instead they're competitively priced against a readymade meal from M & S with mains starting from £3.75 for a single serving. All you need to do is book in for a one hour slot, turn up whenever you want within that time and allow ten minutes per dish. If all that sounds like too much hard work you can always pick up your dinner, finish it off in the oven at home - and pass it off as your own. Lovely jubbly.
