Tucked away in the liveliest corner of Carnaby Street, Sam Greenberg's shop is a treasure trove of beautifully restored vintage clothing.
Sam Greenberg used to sell his wares in Petticoat Lane in the pre-war years, and this family business has a long, proud history in the second-hand clothes business. All pieces are original or customised from original, and Sam Greenberg Renewal also operates concessions within other stores such as Topman in Oxford Circus.
This excellent unisex boutique stocks everything from 50s prom dresses to punk jackets. The menswear is mainly preppie Americana and posh English clothing - woollen sweaters, stripy jackets and sport shirts. Ladies will find everything from retro silk lingerie to hippy ponchos and leather jackets. There's also an enticing selection of retro jewellery and accessories.
Among the best retro shops in London, Sam Greenberg's is a delightful place to visit and should have something for any taste.
