Quirky keyrings, trashy necklaces with your name on and records as earrings, Tatty Devine is the undoubted queen of kitsch. The creators of this Alladin's cave of accessories, Rosie Wolfenden and Harriet Vine, met at Chelsea School Of Art but have no formal training as jewellers. They've established a name for themselves for making plastic fantastic and charm bracelets well, um.. charming. Their pieces have been sold at Portabello and Spitalfields markets and at designer stores Harvey Nicks and Browns; they've worked with grungy Berlin girl group Chicks on Speed and created an installation at the high brow Tate Gallery. There are now over 100 Tatty Devine retail outlets worldwide, including Colette in Paris and two shops in London. Their H.Q., workshop and original retail outlet has been in Brick Lane since 2001 and a stylish second shop opened in Soho in 2004. Jarvis Cocker and All Tomorrow's Parties are among the celebrity fans on their MySpace site.
