The East End Thrift Store
Nearby The East End Thrift Store

- Visitor Information
If you ever venture along Mile End Road towards Stepney Green, take a gander down Assembly Passage (opposite Blockbuster) and you'll come across this shining gem of a vintage shop. The East End Thrift Store, coined "the last fair deal in town", is definitely worth the trip. A converted warehouse space accommodates a huge selection of second hand clothing amongst various boutique pieces of vintage garments, with rail after rail of colourful dresses, playsuits, coats, shirts, shorts and handkerchiefs. The store prides itself on most of its stock being ?10 or under, which compared to most vintage shops (especially those around Covent Garden) is bliss. If you are willing to push the boat out, however, there is a lovely (though considerably costlier) boutique section upstairs. Called The Assembly, it contains selected pieces of excellent quality including fur coats, dinner suits, capes and cocktail dresses. Regular parties are held at the store with late openings, a free bar and discounts on any items purchased that night. Other popular events include jumble sales where customers can buy a bag and fill it with as much clothing as possible.Location map of The East End Thrift Store
