A treat for all the senses, you can smell and see the baked goodies at the Bread Shop before you taste them. Everything is freshly made and you can get a wide choice of breads including four seed rolls made with pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, linseed and millet seeds - the trick here, apparently, is in the way the flour is kneaded together with potato flakes and sourdough and left to mature for sixteen hours. When Jonathan Cohen set up the Bread Shop his aim was to "turn buying bread into a pleasure rather than a daily chore". So shop here for a freshly baked treat - rather than a white sliced loaf for the school sandwiches.
