With their classic check print reaching saturation point during the late nineties - who can forget that picture of Daniella Westbrook dressed head-to-toe in the signature plaid print with child and buggy accessorised to match - Burberry has done well to retain a loyal following. Its history dates back to 1856 and the clothes still have the mark of something very British about them. From classic jackets, blazers and trousers through to purses, wallets, and of course, trench coats, you can pick up some well tailored designer clothes. If you want this gear at knock-down prices you can always try the Burberry outlet store in Hackney. There are great savings to be had but be warned, you won't get Bond Street treatment - there are no changing rooms for a start; best to try them on here so you know your size before you get there.
