Among the first galleries to be established in Europe, Colnaghi specialises in Old Master paintings and drawings from the fifteenth to the nineteenth centuries. Its clients include museums and collectors from all over the world. In 2002 partnerships with Konrad Bernheimer and Katrin Bellinger, Old Master dealers in Munich, enabled the consortium of dealers to make significant acquisitions. Bernheimer Fine Old Masters, renowned for Old Master paintings and Katrin Bellinger Kunsthandel, specializing in Old Master drawings continue to trade in Germany. Also at this gallery is The Colnaghi Library, an impressive art reference library, which has been house here since the gallery moved to to 15 Old Bond Street over fifty years ago. The library charts the history of Western art from the Renaissance through to the nineteenth century, focusing particularly on paintings, drawings and prints. Of particular importance is the Library's vast collection of auction catalogues, which extends back to the mid-eighteenth century. This collection is closely linked to the Colnaghi archives, which systematically document the history of the firm, and the works of art which have passed through it since it was founded in 1760.
