Since changing hands in 2006, the House of Fraser chain has seen a major shake-up. This flagship store is keen to usurp condescending Oxford Street neighbours John Lewis and Selfridges as the king of the department stores. Well it hasn't quite happened yet, but House of Fraser has got a better selection of designs than ever. The focus remains on clothes and beauty, although the homeware section is fairly extensive these days too.
