The most coveted designer shoes came to prominence thanks to Carrie Bradshaw's Jimmy Choo obsession. These shoes are Sex and the City personified. The brains behind the brand, Tamara Mellon, started out as accessories editor at Vogue UK, when she realised there was a real demand for stylish but wearable shoes. She approached Mr Jimmy Choo, a couture shoe-maker in the East End of London and so the brand was born. More recently, however, her high profile divorce has been making the headlines as her husband, who she met at Narcotics Anonymous, is accused of using a private detective to determine her wealth. But courtroom dramas aside, the shoes are the star and every girl worth her Fendi handbag wants to stand tall in a pair of these high class heels.
