Konditor & Cook specialise in the creation of amazingly tasty cakes which are also sold on to some of the finest restaurants in the city. This, the first shop, bakery and heart of the operation opened in 1993. Now there are six outlets in London where you can sample their delicious confections at their freshest. Choose from Curly Whirly chocolate sponge, iced lemon Magic Cakes (Madonna's favourites) or try the savoury room for lunchtime tartlets, salads and sandwiches. The location not far from the Old Vic and the South Bank Centre attracts a creative crowd into the plum coloured corner shop. Highly recommended.Konditor & Cook images
