This rather exclusive establishment has been arming London folk with a seriously upper-class, posh brolly and a riding crop for centuries. An incredibly timeless store, nothing seems to change here since the early 1800s when it first got its royal seal of approval. In addition to serving up some classy umbrellas and equestrian goods, it also sustains its business on providing excessively big hats for Ascot, tweed jackets and breeches for those who like to head to the country during the shooting season. There's quality leather luggage and, of course, the obligatory picnic hampers. Umbrella wise, they sell absolutely stunning, walking length umbrellas for gentlemen with a choice of Malacca, hickory or cherry handles. Prices - which start at £175 (gulp) - mean you'll be positively praying for rain. Even if you can't afford it – it's worth a look simply to witness a wonderful example of British eccentricity. It's a place where men who wear panama hats complete with private club ribbons feel at home; a 'spiffing' establishment for brollies and so much more.
