Hard to miss with its bright yellow awning emblazoned with the word 'SPICE', this cosy emporium on the corner of Portobello Road will get your olfactory glangs working overtime. Originally a stall on the market, the business has evolved over recent years and now stocks pots, tins and bags full of over 2,500 herbs and spices. Unique in its concept and service this is THE place to come for essences, extracts, seasonings, seeds, pods, powders, oils, roots and leaves. Try one of their "Celebrity Bundles" for different ingredients grouped together according to the tastes and recipes of famous chefs. If your tastebuds really need reviving invest in a their Essential Spice Tin, crammed with no less than 49 different spices.
