The long history of Fulham Palace, previously home to the Bishops of London, is told through the on-site museum which opened in April 2007. Through interactive dispalys and a detailed 3D model of the building the story of this historically important site is revealed. Once enclosed by the largest moated site in England, a settlement has stood here since Neolithic times. The present day building includes a medieval Great Hall that dates back to Tudor times where royal banquets took place. The museum's displays chart the history of the site, the Palace's architecture, archaeology, garden and social history. Children can enjoy the art cart and the mummified rat!
