Gasworks serves a dual purpose: as a location for 12 artists' studios and as host to up to six exhibitions a year. Emphasis is placed on emerging and mid-career international and UK artists who've had limited previous exposure in London. The dual nature of the art space allows resident artists to exhibit regularly at the adjacent gallery, giving artists the opportunity to develop ambitious site-specific projects. Gasworks's international network is expanded through its relationship with the Triangle Arts Trust an international organisation with a reach that stretches to more than thirty countries around the world.
