IceSpace is a super-cool touring attraction that touches down in London this month, bringing the largest collection of ice found outside the Arctic Circles to sit on the bank of the Thames between City Hall and Tower Bridge. The space consists of a massive series of tents, containing ice rinks, an ice bar, an ice room full of games and several mind-boggling buildings entirely built from ice. Plus hundreds of jaw-dropping ice sculptures.
It's not quite up to the Harbin festival in northern China, but the building techniques are eye-opening and the way the ice catches light makes this a literally dazzling display. Best bit? The ice rink of course. Fancy laser lights and astounding ice sculptures are all very well but you can't beat the pleasure of ice skating in June.
