Don't ring up the gallery asking to speak to Keith Talent, there is no such person working here. The name comes from the character in Martin Amis' book 'London Fields' - appropriate as this gallery is nearby that stretch of parkland. Set up in 2002 by school friends and Royal Academy graduates Andrew Clarkin and Simon Pittuck, this gallery is not all about fleecing starving artists to make a quick buck. It's a gallery run by artists for artists with several studios rented out to help pay the bills. Their annual London art fair, which began as 'Year 06' and will update each year (eg 'Year 07' etc), is run along the same lines; profit margins are not the prime concern. Charles Saatchi keeps an eye on what's going on at the gallery so, if you're lucky, you may even spot the next Damien Hirst here.
