Maureen Paley started out selling art from her Victorian terraced home in London's East End in 1984. Since September 1999 the gallery has been situated in its current location in Bethnal Green. Initially called Interim Art, the gallery recently changed its name to Maureen Paley to mark its 20th anniversary. To have lasted so long in a fickle world is testament to Paley's artistic know-how. She represents top artists like Gillian Wearing and Rebecca Warren and has curated exhibitions at the Camden Arts Centre and for the Henry Moore Sculpture Trust.Maureen Paley events
