Opened on 5th October 2007, this Rivington Place art gallery is a £8m public building dedicated to culturally diverse visual arts. It's a joint venture between Iniva (the Institute of International Visual Arts) and Autograph ABP who have already been working together for 20 years. This impressive David Adjaye OBE designed building, the first new-build public gallery in London since the Hayward Gallery opened in 1968, is the permanent home of international contemporary art and photography exhibitions, talks, screenings and seminars. It's not just about pretty pictures, there's a serious point behind the art works which are intended to prompt discussion on cultural diversity.
