John Huddy founded The Illustration Cupboard in the spare bedroom of his sister's flat in 1995 and comes from a family closely connected with publishing and children's books. The gallery specialises in exhibiting illustrations by many award-winning contemporary book illustrators with international reputations. The original artworks are available for purchase or simply for perusing. The Cupboard's annual winter exhibitions, held mid November to the end of January each year, are the highlight of the gallery's regular events which include high profile single artist and two-man shows. There are also signed and first edition copies of well known and beautifully illustrated books. Entrance is free and families are welcome. Illustration Cupboard images
