At The Victoria Jones Gallery, delicate cutwork screens from Asia stand alongside sculptured candlestick holders from Eastern Europe and contemporary paintings from sub-Saharan Africa. An eclectic collection, the unifying theme is the combination of traditional arts with contemporary design.
There are some fair trade principals at work, attempting to use traditional artisans and pay them accordingly, rather than just stealing their ideas, and recycled or sustainable materials are used where possible.
