Visitor Information
Nestled between the Thames, Kew Gardens and Richmond is the 90-hectare Old Deer Park, home to a number of amateur and semi-professional sports teams. London Welsh RFC, who play in rugby union's second-tier Championship, play their home games in a 5,850-capacity stadium. Despite actually being in Surrey, the cricket ground in the Old Deer Park has also been used by Middlesex in a number of their List-A matches, including a handful of Twenty20 games. Domestically, the cricket ground is the home venue of the Richmond Cricket Club, who play in the Middlesex league. The Old Deer Park is also home to the Royal Mid-Surry Golf Club, Richmond Lawn tennis, the Royal Richmond archery club, the Mid-Surry Bowling club and the Richmond Squash club. Richmond Athletic Ground, which is home to London Scottish and Richmond RFC, is also located inside the Old Deer Park - as is Richmond Swimming Pool & Lido, now called 'Pools on the Park'.
