Old Street Underground station connects to the Northern line only.
During daylight hours the area around Old Street and further east in Shoreditch is pretty uninteresting, but as dusk arrives it comes alive with the sounds of clinking glasses and thumping beats. This is one of the best areas in London for a night out with a dangerously high concentration of bars and clubs. Sup on cocktails at the Hoxton Bar and Grill, funk like a cross-eyed chicken at the Strongrooms, or size up the phat beats at 333, Plastic People and Herbal.
