The fourth branch of Bumpkin, following on from the original Notting Hill restaurant, opened in June 2013, occupying an elegant Georgian townhouse on Sydney Street and bringing its distinctive British cuisine and country bumpkin style to this well heeled corner of Chelsea. Executive chef, Raymond Fulton-Corrie, oversees a menu which offers meat, fish or vegetable dishes cooked-to-order an outdoor charcoal oven. As with the menu, the rooms change with the seasons - from the dark woods and autumnal hues of the 75-seat main dining room to the summery light and airy potting shed bar. Tucked away at the back of the restaurant is The Secret Garden designed by double RH Chelsea Flower Show medal winners, Second Nature Gardens, with twinkling fairy lights, scented climbers and antique mirrors. Upstairs, The Botany Club, a private dining room for up to 30, reflects the bright, bold colours of spring.
