With interior designed by Brady Williams, seafood specialists the Wright Brothers' fifth restaurant takes inspiration from the classic seafood bistros of Paris with floor-to-ceiling windows and a fireplace. If you're a fan of their other restaurants (there are branches in Soho, Borough and Spitalfields) then you're in for a treat. The small and intimate dining room is influenced by the bistros of Paris and its older Borough Market brother. Head chef Philip Coulter, who comes with six years of experience at the helm of Wright Brothers Oyster & Porter House in Borough, serves up a seasonal British menu with a subtle French influence. Oysters natural, dressed or cooked, come from the British Isles, France and beyond, including Frenchman's Creek from their own Duchy oyster farm in Cornwall. Feast on fruits de mer platters, the finest seafood, Cornish day-boat fish or choose from the daily specials board. Wednesday to Saturday from 5pm The Mermaid cocktail and oyster bar is open serving a range of delectable cocktails and bar snacks in addition to the full restaurant menu.
