Evocative of Vienna in the early twentieth century, Fischer's is an informal, neighbourhood cafe and konditorei with a classic Viennese cafe menu. On a prominent site at the top of Marylebone High Street, the cafe is noteworthy for its pedigree - it comes from Chris Corbin and Jeremy King who also own The Wolseley, The Delaunay, Brasserie Zedel, Colbert, and The Beaumont hotel. Open early for breakfast and serving food and drinks throughout the day until late into the evening, the menu includes an extensive choice of cured fish, salads, schnitzels, sausages, brotchen and sandwiches, strudels, biscuits, ice-cream coupes, hot chocolates and coffees with traditional tortes mit schlag. There's porridge and crispy bacon rolls on the breakfast menu, wiener schnitzels and wurstchen sausages and sauerkraut on the lunch and dinner menu. The wine list is largely mittel-European, with Austrian, German, French Alsatian and Hungarian wines predominating, and the majority are available by the glass.
