Enjoy hearty, robust, seasonal French cooking from a modern master with Pierre Koffmann's long awaited return to the London gastronomic scene. The triple Michelin starred chef has set up shop again inside The Berkeley Hotel in the former Boxwood Cafe, which closed its doors in spring 2010. Koffmann's serves unrivalled French cuisine influenced by the celebrated chef's Gascon heritage and has an excellent value menu du jour which changes daily. Stand out dishes include scallops with squid ink, braised pig's trotter with morels, cassoulet of snails with mash potato, potted foie gras with toasted baguette, grilled lobster with béarnaise sauce, roasted rabbit with Dijon mustard, braised beef cheeks and, of course, Koffmann's famed pistachio souffle. The décor is simple, elegant and understated, while an open kitchen makes for a stunning piece of culinary theatre. There is even tableside meat carving, which adds a certain je ne sais quoi. Londres est content de vous revoir, Philippe!
