This informal 80-seat Italian restaurant in Victoria is managed by an all-Italian team headed by Daniele Pampagnin, previously at Cecconi's, and head chef Maurilio Molteni, previously of Shoreditch House where the pair worked together. Promising a 'lively' atmosphere, Tozi (Venetian slang for 'a group of friends') is all about sharing and enjoying food with friends and family. They serve appetitising cicchetti or small plates (of the type served at Cecconi's and made popular at Polpo), charcuterie and cheese platters, wood oven-cooked mains and sharing dishes. Drinks include Prosecco from the Veneto region of Italy, and classic Italian cocktails including barrel-aged Negroni, Bellini and Aperol Spritz - a refreshing mix of Prosecco, Aperol and a splash of soda water. Decor is wood, terracotta and marble, with an open kitchen and charcuterie station offering guests a view of the chefs at work. The restaurant, located just a few minutes' walk from Victoria station, is backed by the PPHE Hotel Group who own the Park Plaza and art'otel hotel brands.
