The first solo project from Martin Williams, who left his role as Managing Director of Gaucho Restaurants after almost a decade, M is a vast and impressive venue with two restaurants, a wine tasting bar, a destination cocktail bar, private dining rooms, event spaces and a secret den. The two 100-cover restaurants are different in style but both are presided over by executive chef, Michael Reid who has teamed up with head chef Jarad McCarroll, formerly of Chiltern Firehouse. The Grill restaurant, with wing back chairs in Savile Row fabrics and cobalt blue leather, specialises in top quality steak - including Wagyu from both Japan and Australia - as well as exotic meats like crocodile and kangaroo. Raw is more of a casual dining concept with a tartare and tiradito bar, featuring brightly coloured seating, sharing tables and high stools. Interiors by award-winning expert, Rene Dekker Design Team, go from cool blues and ebony tones in the Grill restaurant to rich reds in the Raw bar while the mezzanine bar is done up in copper, charcoal and gold hues. Added to these are private dining spaces for parties of eight to fifty and a small 'secret' bar with personal bottle lockers, table football, a humidor and a 32-inch television screen which doubles as a mirror.
