Hotels near Grenville Gardens Community Allotment Garden

The Grenville Allotment Garden, found in a part of Grenville Gardens in Islington, have enable the local community to reclaim a part of the garden contaminated with Japanese knotweed. The project, thought up by a team of design students in their final year at the American Intercontinental University in London, has meant that 18 individual wooden planters have been built and stewarded by a family in the surrounding community. The raised bed boxes are not in physical contact with the contaminated ground and the structures slot into an elevated watering channel fed by rainwater harvested from a local roof.
