Stepping inside sketch is like falling down a rabbit hole and it's never more magical than at Christmas. Around every corner are snowy scenes and floral outbursts. A hat shop window recalls sketch's past as the London atelier of Christian Dior in the street-like Christmas scenes that greet you on. In the Glade, Figa & Co's creative director Kim Beedie has installed an expansive, swirling floral installation rising up from a tea cup to the roof. Upstairs, in the three Michelin starred Lecture Room and Library, Ricky Jackson, of Ricky Paul Flowers, has designed a stunning Christmas tree with lanterns, fans and real flowers - echoing the fascination for 'Chinoiserie' at the royal court of 18th century Russia. No visit to sketch is complete without a trip to the loos. Among the pods you'll find a UFO has landed; it's the creation of Carly Rogers who has imagined aliens beaming up a small Christmas tree to take back to their planet. If ever a little bit of escapism was needed, it's this Christmas and there's no better place to prepare for lift off.
