From the Athletics Ground
on the edge of Kew Gardens
you can enjoy a spectacular Sunday evening of family fun with the annual Richmond Athletic Association choreographed fireworks display. It's one of the biggest fireworks events in Richmond, attracting crowds of 6,000 people, so combine the fireworks with a stroll in the park
and/or a late pub lunch by the river before taking in the fiery celebrations set off to music. There's also a big bonfire where Guy Fawkes will be duly frazzled, some fairground rides, live music, a dance demo and glasses of mulled wine aplenty. In the case of bad weather, the main grandstand provides ample shelter.
