The leaves he brews and sells at Postcard Teas are the result of ten years spent tasting and investigating tea plantations in Taiwan, Japan, Korea, China, India, and Sri Lanka. He has certainly done his research. His passion turned into a business back in 2000 when he and Alex Fraser started to sell specialist green and oolong teas imported direct from tea producers and experts in east Asia at Borough Market. Now, with this tea shop, he brings some of the world's best black teas from the north east of India and the south of Sri Lanka to Britain. Goomtee in the Himalayas, for example, is one of the friendly, family-run estates he works with, well known for its fine Darjeeling tea.
